Vice Minister Yu Xinrong meets Executive Director of Li Ka Shing Foundation

Vice Minister Yu Xinrong met with Solina Chau, Executive Director of Li Ka Shing Foundation (LKSF), in Beijing on February 29, 2015. The two sides exchanged views on intensifying communication and cooperation in seed industry innovation, agricultural S&T and targeted poverty alleviation.
Yu pointed out that LKSF has made active efforts and due contributions to agricultural and rural development by facilitating national agricultural S&T innovation, poverty alleviation, and so on. He hopes that LKSF will continue its role as a bridge to introduce world's leading agricultural technologies to domestic market. The Ministry of Agriculture will provide possible support within its capacity and advance the following work.
Solina Chau fully agreed with Yu on his proposal, noting that LKSF is ready to enhance cooperation with MOA and make joint efforts in promoting China's agricultural S&T innovation and poverty alleviation.
