Minister Han Changfu meets Kazakhstani Agricultural Minister A. Mamytbekov

Minister Han Changfu met his Kazakhstani counterpart Mr. Asylzhan Mamytbekov in Beijing on March 18, 2016. The two sides exchanged views on China-Kazakhstan agricultural cooperation.
Minister Han stated that the bilateral agricultural cooperation has been forging ahead smoothly recently. The two sides have conducted fruitful cooperation, particularly in agricultural S&T, demonstration of crop production and agricultural trade and investment.
To advance and upgrade the bilateral agricultural cooperation under the framework of the Silk Road Economic Belt, Minister Han put forward the following suggestions: first, establish an Agricultural Cooperation Working Group; second, promote bilateral agricultural trade and investment and enhance capacity building in agriculture; and third, facilitate the completion of cooperation projects, such as the China-Kazakhstan Friendship Apple Orchard project, at an early date.
Asylzhan Mamytbekov strongly agreed with Minister Han''s comments and proposals, expressing that he is ready to work with China for further advancement in bilateral agricultural cooperation and agricultural development in both China and Kazakhstan.
