Vice Minister Yu Kangzhen met with Mr.Marek Sawicki, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland and his delegation in Beijing on May 16th, 2014. The two sides talked about intensifying bilateral trade and economic cooperation and S&T in agriculture.
During the meeting, Vice Minister Yu noted that with the joint efforts, agricultural cooperation has deepened between China and Poland for recent years. He proposed that the two sides give full play to the existing cooperation mechanisms and platforms to expand cooperation areas and innovate in cooperation patterns. Both sides would reinforce cooperation in food safety, animal disease control, agricultural trade and agricultural S&T.
Marek Sawicki agreed with Yu on his comments and proposals. He briefed the Chinese side on the status quo of African Swine fever in Poland and expressed his willingness to further cooperation with China in animal disease control.
