CCM has published September issue of Corn Products China News recently, covering the latest news of various corn products, including price fluctuation, market trends and intelligence, legislations and policies, technologies, area dynamics and corn supply, etc.

In H1 2011, some kinds of corn products enjoyed good growth. Thanks to the booming market of food and feed, leading producers of additives used in both kinds of products, such as starch sugar, corn starch and lysine, put on pretty good performance in H1 2011; some of them have already decided to expand their business in the next one to three years. Oppositely, some kinds of corn products suffered terrible performance. For example, the development of vitamin C has been restrained by its excessive supply and price drop.

High raw material cost is always a big problem for corn producers, and its impact is expected to last to the rest months this year. China’s inflation rate fell to 6.2% in August 2011 from 6.5% in the previous month: this is a move in the right direction but far above the average 4% set by the government for the whole year. Corn price in China is high and stable in Sept. 2011 thanks to its strong demand in feed industry, even though its rich harvest this year is almost certain.
