Preparation work launched officially for the 45th Session of Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues
Qingdao--The 45th Session of Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues (CCPR) is scheduled to be held in Qingdao, China during May 6-11,2013.
To facilitate the preparation work and ensure the successful convening of CCPR,
ICAMA Director-General Sui Pengfei headed a delegation to Qingdao during July 26-27, 2012. The delegation had an in-depth discussion and communication with representatives from Shandong ICA and the Institute of Tobacco Research of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (ITBR-CAAS), and paid a field visit to the session venue and inspected the surrounding facilities.
The forthcoming Session is the 7th meeting to be hosted by China since taking over CCPR Presidency. At the preparation meeting, Sui stressed the significance of CCPR in promoting China''s agri-product quality and international agricultural trade.
Sui also required CCPR Secretariat Office to refine the preparation scheme, perform assigned responsibilities and enhance communication with supporting agencies, to ensure a complete success of the Session.
