China-Germany Workshop on Pesticide Management held in Nanjing
     
 
China-Germany Workshop on Pesticide Management was convened in Nanjing on August 28th, 2013. Gu Baogen, DDG of ICAMA chaired the Workshop. 
 
German experts introduced the institutional set-up and functions of the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL), German and EU''s policies on pesticides registration, registration procedure and requirements, and post-registration management. The German side also shared submission requirements for Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) recognition, renewal registration and re-evaluation of registered pesticides with Chinese colleagues. At the Workshop, German experts answered questions from Chinese enterprise representatives on German and EU''s pesticides import and export and registration.
 
Jiangsu provincial ICA organized the Workshop. Fu Mingxin, DG of Jiangsu ICA, Wang Maotao, DDG of Jiangsu ICA and two officials from ICAMA attended the Workshop. German BVL team was composed of three experts, they were Dr.  Martin Streloke, Dr. Karin Corsten and Dr. Mattias Utess. 
 
Representatives from 30 domestic manufacturing enterprises attended the Workshop.
