Training course for pilot program on pesticide registration joint review held in Hunan Province
ICAMA held a training course for the pilot program on pesticide registration joint review in Hunan Province from Sept. 24 to 25, 2013. Participants to the course included over 70 delegates from ICAs of Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other 10 provinces.
Deputy Division Director Wu Zhifeng chaired the opening ceremony, and Director-General Ye Jiming delivered a keynote speech.
Ye highlighted the significance of conducting joint review on pesticide registration between ICAMA and provincial ICAs, and reported the latest progress in this regard. Also, Ye put forward a requirement that provincial authorities engaged in the pilot program should carry out registration review strictly in line with relevant regulations, intensify their working efforts and strengthen communication with ICAMA.
Experts from Division of Chemical Policy & Management and Division of Chemical Information of ICAMA instructed the procedures, requirements and specific contents of the pilot program, and discussed a number of major issues with other delegates.(Source: Division of Chemical Policy & Management, ICAMA)
