It is a step towards adopting modern technologies."Through e-farming, the yield can be enhanced to 40 maunds per acre" said the e-farming head Dr. Rashid Ahmed, while talking to the Express tribune.He added that the e-farming department at UAF is providing amenities to farmers across the province. Farmers can get in touch with agriculture specialists, researchers and analysts to receive advice on extracting better yield of crops.He added further: "By initiating the e-farming system, these farmers can get awareness to maximize the field's potential and use adequate pesticides".Annual reports and survey of the e-farming crew show that farmers of Multan who were getting 20 maunds per acre of cotton yield on average, are now receiving 40 after the introduction of new biotech technologies.
