Guangzhou China Apr. 18, 2011 - In 2010, the import and export of pesticides in China captures 12.3% of total global import and export, ranking among top ten. Export destinations cover 166 countries and regions, including the United States, Japan, Australia, Russia, etc.
Data from the customs show that the total amount of import and export pesticides in China is 1.26 million tonnes, up 14.3% compared with last year. The export of pesticides is 1.21 million tonnes and reaches USD4.85 billion, up 14.3% and 13.8% respectively compared with last year. The United States is the largest pesticides market for China. And rice-producing countries, such as Brazil, Argentina and most of south-east Asia import a large number of Chinese pesticides products.
Till the end of 2010, there have been 1819 pesticides manufactures in China, covering 1/3 of global pesticides output. Chinese pesticides industry will have more influence in international market day by day.
