Dutch group to improve sustainability of animal feed sector
The Product Board Animal Feed (PDV) is developing a calculation model for animal feed companies to improve the sector's sustainability.
In cooperation with Blonk Milieu Advies and LEI/WUR, PDV has drawn up a project plan to produce an interactive calculation model. The model will help to gather knowledge and facts about the available methods to determine carbon emissions in the chains and the carbon footprint in the entire animal feed chain.
The project plan has clear provisions for harmonisation with other sectors that precede and follow the animal feed chain, in the past six months.
