Producers lift prices, buyers hold purchases in China lysine market
Lysine prices were mixed during the week ending March 27.
The prices movements in China's lysine market varied of late. One major producer lifted its 70-percent lysine product by 20%, prompting other producers to follow. Nonetheless, as buyers withheld purchases, several producers lowered prices to entice buyers.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were in the range of RMB12.20-13/kg.
Lysine prices will likely remain soft as feed millers are unlikely to stock high inventories with hog prices weak and animal population shrinking.
