Rescued employees and ashes of the deceased sent back to China

    On the afternoon of November 5, ashes of five CNPC employees kidnapped and killed in Sudan and four rescued employees were sent back to China by a special plane.

Work groups of Chinese Government and Sudanese Government dealing with the aftermath of the incidence accompanied the plane. Representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, Hebei Government and families of the deceased went to the airport for their arrival. CNPC Vice President Wang Dongjin together with the rescue team also came back by the same plane.

On behalf of CNPC, Vice President Yu Baocai and Assistant President Li Runsheng went to the airport and conveyed deep condolences to the families of the deceased.
