On August 8, the gas export pipeline of the Amu Darya project was successfully connected up with the Central Asia Gas Pipeline at the border of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Natural gas produced from the Amu Darya project in Turkmenistan is a major source of the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline, and will be exported to China via Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The successful cross-border pipeline link up will definitely ensure on-schedule gas supply to the second West-East Gas Pipeline.
