The first CNPC training course to MEM Sudan complete

    On May 13, the closing ceremony for the first CNPC training course to Ministry of Energy &Mining (MEM) Sudan was held at CNPC headquarters in Beijing.

On January 6, CNPC Vice President Wang Dongjin and Secretary General of MEM Sudan Dr. Omer Mohammed Khair signed a training agreement between the two parties. According to the agreement, CNPC will offer USD1 million to nine training courses to MEM Sudan within the next three years. From 2006 to 2009, CNPC had trained 58 technical and management personnel for MEM Sudan, as well as sponsored 12 students to study for their master's degree in China.

Bo Qiliang, President of China National Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Corporation (CNODC), and Sudan Embassy counselor Salah Elkando were present at the ceremony and delivered speeches respectively.
