New Record Made by Pesticide Export

      Guangzhou China Jan. 25, 2011- In November 2010, the quantity of pesticide import in China reached 2,684 tonnes, up 85.5% compared with last year. And the quantity of exported non-retail insecticide, fungicide and herbicide are 363 tonnes, 827 tonnes and 565 tonnes, with an increase of 371.7%, 87.6% and 37.1% respectively. At the same time, the quantity of exported technical reached 63,023 tonnes, up 48.7% compared with last year. The main export volume of pesticide products increased by 10% in 2010, except non-retail insecticides. About 35,223 tonnes non-retail herbicide are exported, up 77.0% compared with last year.

    

       

    

      From January 2010 to November 2010, the total quantity of pesticide import reached 46,706 tonnes, up 20.5% compared with last year, and herbicides covers 41.2% of market share. About 545,251 tonnes of pesticides have been exported, up 29.4% compared with the same period last year. The total quantity of export pesticide can exceed 600,000 tonnes in 2010, reaching a new record. Among them, insecticide, fungicide and herbicide cover 22.1%, 10.7% and 59.6% respectively, while herbicide is down 4.0% compared with last year.    

    

       

    

      The export prices start to rebound. The average FOB price of non-retail of insecticide, fungicide and herbicide are USD4,200/t, USD4,298/t and USD2,316/t respectively, and the prices of insecticide and herbicide increase by USD440/t and USD160/t, while price of fungicide declines by USD120/t.
