Turkey imported 38,955 tons of ferroalloy in January, soaring by 50.4% from a month ago and increasing by 8.7% year on year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Meanwhile, the country's import revenues generated by ferroalloy totaled US$53.6 million, double from a month ago and rising by 9.3% year on year.
In January, Ukraine was the largest ferroalloy to Turkey with 15,424 tons, rising by 15.5%; India was the second largest one with 5,496 tons, falling by 20.4%; Russia was the third largest one with 5,251 tons, soaring by 5 folds, all compared to those in the same period of year ago.
