According to the data released by CISA (China Iron and Steel Association), Chinese registered steelmakers contributed a daily crude steel output of 1.488 million metric tons in middle January, down by 0.27% from early January. Meanwhile, Chinese average daily crude steel output was estimated to stand at 1.669 million metric tons in middle January, down by 1.3% versus middle January.

As for the market prospect, experts expected that the crude steel production will rebound gradually in the short run due to the growing steel demand from domestic infrastructure constructions.
