Taiwanese steel export up in May MoM

According to Taiwanese Ministry of Finance, Taiwan's export value of iron and steel and articles made from iron and steel amounted to USD 1.5 billion in May 2013, decreased by 3.6% compared to the same month of 2012 and up 6.2% MoM.

In May, Taiwan's import value of iron and steel and articles made from iron and steel was USD 880 million, falling 28.7% compared to May 2012.

In the first five months of 2013 Taiwan's import value for the products in question decreased by 8.5% compared to the same period of last year to USD 5 billion.
