According to data released by Taiwan's imports of stainless scrap totaled 22,278 tons in June, lower than 23,000 tons from a month ago.
Meanwhile, the import prices of stainless scraps averaged at NT$47,970/ton in June.
In June, Taiwan's exports of stainless scraps totaled 3,778 tons, higher than 2,700 tons in May. The average export prices were at NT$37,423/ton.
In the first half of this year, the country's imports of stainless scraps amounted to 140,000 tons, rising by 8% year on year.
In the given period of time, Taiwan's stainless scrap exports totaled 19,000 tons.
