Taiwan’s import prices of large-diameter wire rods rise for consecutive four weeks

According to data released by Taiwan's customs, Taiwan's imports of large-diameter wire rods (with diameters larger or equal to 14mm) totaled 713 tons in June, rising by 4.5% from 682 tons in May.

However, the country's import prices of large-diameter wire rods surged substantially by NT$1,578/ton from a month ago to NT$22,315/ton, rising for consecutive four months.

In June, Taiwan's exports of large-diameter wire rods totaled 4,187 tons, slumping by 30% from May. The export prices rose by NT$489/ton from May to NT$23,313/ton.
