On September 22, Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) announced that it carried out hot run tests on September 20 on coupled pickling lines and the tandem cold rolling mill which form part of its cold rolled tinplate project. Construction work started on the cold rolled tinplate project on March 30 last year.
The project includes a continuous annealing line with an annual output capacity of 400,000 mt and a tinning line with an annual production capacity of 200,000 mt.
