According to report, ArcelorMittal South American's carbon steel flat products deliveries were 1.12 million tons in the second quarter, down by 15.7% compared to the same period 2011. However, the shipment volumes were only down by 1% from the last quarter.
Together its flat product deliveries were 2.25 million tons, also down by 9% from the same period of last year of 2.47 million tons.
ArcelorMittal posted its Q2 EBITDA for flat products dropped by about 75% to USD$28 million from US$111 million in Q1. However, it is about 88.5% plummet from the same period last year of US$243 million
