According to data, the US exported around 1.08 million short tons of steel in October, soaring by 12% from 959,621 short tons in a month ago.
In October, the country's steel exports to Canada rose by 8% to 512,561 short tons; those to Mexico jumped by 23% to 357,151 short tons.
To specify steel product, the exports of heavy section increased to 102,635 short tons from 66,518 short tons; those of hot dipped galvanized steel sheets and narrow strips surged to 102,251 tons from 89,056 tons.
