South Korea’s HRC exports slump by 34% y-o-y in November

According to statistics released by the Korea Iron and Steel Association (KOSA), South Korea's exports of hot rolled coils (HRC) totaled 343,700 tons in November, slumping by 34% year on year.

KOSA added that the slow HRC exports made by the South Korean steel mills would continue into the first quarter of 2013.

In the first 11 months of this year, South Korea's HRC exports totaled 4.88 million tons, falling by 2% year on year.

In the given period of time, Japan was the largest importer of the South Korea HRC with 875,300 tons, decreasing by 5%; Vietnam was the second largest one with 768,600 tons, falling by 25% and Indonesia was the third largest one with 700,300 tons, rising by 30%, all compared to the figures in the same period of the previous year.
