Turkey’s exports steel pipes fall by 5.3% y-o-y in April

According to statistics released by the Turkish Steel Pipes Manufacturers' Association (CEBID), Turkey's output of steel pipes totaled 143,000 tons in this April, falling by 5.3% year on year and decreasing by 21.9% from a month ago.

Meanwhile, the country's export revenues generated by steel pipes were at US$126 million in April, decreasing by 11.4% year on year and falling by 19.2% from the previous month.

In the first four months of this year, Turkey's exports of steel pipes decreased due to weak demand from the EU.

In the given period of time, Turkey's steel pipe exports to Iraq totaled 140,000 tons, rising by 54.1%; those to the US were at 91,000 tons, falling by 20%; those to the UK were at 50,000 tons, slumping by 36.6%.
