Brazil’s wire rod exports slump by 58% in July

According to data released by Brazil's secretary of foreign trade
Secex, Brazil's exports of wire rods totaled 10,441 tons in July, slumping by 58% from a month ago.

Among them, the shipments made to the US slumped by 59% month on month to 6,335 tons.

Meanwhile, the country's export revenues generated by wire rods totaled US$7.2 million FOB in July, falling substantially by 57% from June.

In July, the export prices of wire rods averaged at US$691.02/ton, higher than US$681.63/ton FOB in June.
