On 2 Feb., Clariant announced that it has signed a license agreement with Harbin Sino-Dan for its sunliquid? cellulosic ethanol technology. Harbin Sino-Dan will take the opportunity to build a 25,000 t/a cellulosic ethanol plant by consuming over 125,000 t/a of local corn stover, making it one of the first 2G biofuel plants in Heilongjiang Province.
