In December 2015, Hebei Hongxing's alternative energy vehicle was successfully off the production line. This signalised that Do-Fluoride, shareholder of Hebei Hongxing, will further expand its alternative energy business. However, as it is Do-Fluoride's primary cross-industry step into vehicle field, certain risks exist.

In 2015, the investment into 18650 power Li-ion battery sees an upsurge, thanks to the rapid development of the alternative energy vehicle industry. As new production lines are put into operation, the current industry pattern will be broken - small- and mid-sized enterprises only reliant on price advantages will be knocked out successively.

In December 2015, 5 Chinese government departments jointly released the incentive policy for alternative energy vehicle charging infrastructure during the 13th Five-year Plan (2016-2020), to combine the incentive with the promotion of alternative energy vehicle, so as to further propel local governments to maintain the promotion vigour of alternative energy vehicle. CCM believes that this new policy will give an impetus to the industry development to hit a new high in 2016-2020.

In December 2015, Victory Precision announced to invest USD8.13 million (RMB52.04 million) for Li-ion battery separator capacity expansion in its subsidiary GreenPower, making it the 11th company to expand capacity this year. However, CCM finds that the common problem in China's chemical industry - insufficient capacity for high-end products but overcapacity for low-end ones - appears in this industry also.
