Hunan Gofar decided to launch new 100 t/a indoxacarb TC, 200 t/a clothianidin TC, 400 t/a pyraclostrobin TC, and 200 t/a prothioconazole TC projects to take place of its existing 3,000 t/a monosultap plant. Particularly, the indoxacarb TC project passed the environmental impact assessment on 19 June, and was to start construction. The remaining projects are also expected to start up in the near future.

Jiangxi Zhengbang disclosed that its emamectin benzoate + tolfenpyrad 12% SC has showed outstanding efficacy against various pests and gained wide recognition from growers. Given this, the company plans to enrich its tolfenpyrad product mix. New products, including olfenpyrad 30% SC, tolfenpyrad + thiamethoxam 40% SC, and chlorfenapyr + tolfenpyrad 37.5% SC, are expected to be approved for registration in the foreseeable future.

Major rice pests and diseases moderately occurred in China in H1 2017 with the occurrence area being 367 million mu, of which 265 million mu saw pests and 102 million mu saw the occurrence of diseases.

The NATESC made a prediction on major pest and disease occurrence on middle and late rice for H2 2017. Specifically, plant hoppers are estimated to strike heavily, leaf rollers and asiatic borer to strike moderately, and yellow rice borers to strike slightly, with partial occurrence of other pests like sesamia inferens, laodelphax striatellus, gall midges, rice stem maggots, and armyworms.

In 2017, the first generation of cotton bollworm had a high rate of residual pests in North China, Northwest China and Huang-Huai region. Weather in June was favorable for the occurrence of cotton bollworm, and the occurrence area was estimated to reach 0.67 million ha in cotton field and 2 million ha in other fields.

The Asiatic migratory locust has been reported in Nongan County, Jilin Province recently. According to the Plant Protection Station, the occurrence area has been reached 2,333.33 ha (35,000 mu) as of 2 July, and even 773.33 ha (11,600 mu) in some areas.
