Producer Sword Agrochemicals is working to obtain the approval for construction of a new project, in which eight kinds of intermediates will be covered, including hydrazine hydrate, triazole, thiocarbohydrazide, epoxy, pinacolone, p-chlorobenzaldehyde, triazone, and dichloropinacolin. Total investment is estimated to be USD165.66 million (RMB1.11 billion).

China's production of chemical pesticides TC fell by 29.21% YoY to about 2.08 million tonnes in 2018. Of note is that less insecticide TC was produced last year. It is predicted that in 2019, the production and consumption of chemical pesticides will also decline as expected.
