Welcome to the July issue of Sweeteners China News published by CCM International, a professional consulting company which has been extensively and intently focusing on dynamics of China's sweetener industry.
In June 2012, Chinese government launched the 12th Five-Year Plan for National Food Safety Standard, which is expected to provide great opportunities to Chinese sweetener industry and promote its healthy development.
Besides, end products of sweeteners in China have gained more and more attention from sweetener producers including Baolingbao and Guilin Layn. Baolingbao is preparing to open an online shop on tmall.com of IMO end product, which is estimated to provide a new profit growth point for the company. Meanwhile, Guilin Layn will establish a new subsidiary to sell its end products, aiming to strengthen the company's profitability.
Moreover, domestic corn price has witnessed an uptrend since Jan. 2011, which affected the price of corn starch and starch sugar. For example, the domestic HFCS price has enjoyed a slight increase in H1 2012 mainly due to the high price of corn. Also, the profit of crystallized glucose industry is expected to be narrowed in H1 2012 due to the same reason.
To be noticed, all the price mentioned in the Sweeteners China News is quotation inc. VAT unless with otherwise specifications.
