The market prices of vitamins, though generally staying at a low level, fluctuated in March 2023. Some vitamins saw price rise, while others fell in price. Because Royal DSM N.V. restored operation of its production base, the vitamin A price was suppressed. Owing to the rise in raw material price, major vitamin B9 producers stopped receiving sales orders or giving price quotations; resultantly, VB9 price rebounded in March, after the steep declines in previous months.

The Department of Food Safety Standards, Risk Surveillance and Assessment of National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China announced that 28 products belonging to "three kinds of new food products" (new food ingredients, new food-related products, and new food additives) had passed the safety evaluation. Among them, vitamin E is listed in the "food additives with expanded application scope".
