Welcome to the October issue of Sweeteners China News published by CCM, a professional consulting company which has been extensively and intensively focusing on the dynamics of China's sweetener industry.
In the October issue of this newsletter, CCM reviewed performance of domestic sweetener industry through the following two aspects: one was sales performance of producers, the other was the market quotations of products.
Some sweetener producers in China continued to release their semi-annual reports in September 2013, showing their sales performance in H1 2013. Some producers successfully turned loss into gain in H1 2013, such as Guilin Layn. Some had excellent sales performance while continuing to suffer losses at the same time, such as PureCircle.
In September, it is time to review the performance of some sweetener industries in H1 2013, based on the sufficient data of the industries. For example, it is believed that H1 2013 was still tough for domestic crystalline glucose industry, which was reflected in the decrease in the domestic crystalline glucose price and the poor performance of domestic crystalline glucose producers.
Besides, CCM analyzed export situations of some sweetener products in China. The YoY growth rate of export volume of China's sucralose dropped in H1 2013 compared with that in H1 2012, which might bring challenges to the domestic sucralose industry. In addition, the export volume of China's aspartame increased by just 0.5% YoYin H1 2013.
To be noticed, the USD/RMB exchange rate is 6.17 in this issue, and all the prices mentioned in this newsletter include the VAT unless otherwise specified.
