Rice diseases are further spreading in China recently. Of all rice diseases, major ones include rice blast, rice sheath blight and southern rice black-streaked dwarf virus disease, with accumulative stricken areas of 390,000 ha, 2.35 million ha, and 3,333 ha. respectively as of mid-June 2013. It is estimated that some fungicides to prevent and control these rice diseases will continue to enjoy a hot sale accordingly, such as propiconazole, difenoconazole, tebuconazole, azoxystrobin and jingangmycin.
Though it is the peak sales season for the fungicide market in China, the ex-factory prices of some rice fungicide technical are still relatively stable. Take azoxystrobin 95% TC for example, its ex-factory price was about USD43,199/t (RMB267,000/t) in early July 2013, nearly the same as that in early June. Meanwhile, the ex-factory price fluctuations of most triazole fungicides, especially those used to fight against rice diseases, was less than 2%. Under the circumstances, it is anticipated that they will not change much in the remaining weeks of July 2013.
