In Q3 2025, Jiangxi Province and Changde City successively introduced policies to jointly promote the high-quality development of the bio-based and synthetic biology industries, focusing on building a non-grain biomass industrial chain and cultivating SRDI enterprises, respectively. The People's Government of Yiyang City, Hunan Province, issued the Yiyang 2025 Implementation Plan for Supporting the Comprehensive Utilization of Crop Straw, setting out clear objectives, measures and incentives to advance the utilisation of crop straw.
Market Dynamics and Corporate Aspects
In Q3 2025, several bio-based companies released their H1 2025 reports. Cathay Biotech, Jindan Technology, and Kingfa Sci. & Tech. all reported revenue and net profit growth, while Hisun Biomaterials reported a decrease in revenue and a plunge in net profit.

- Huanlong Ecological's 204,000 t/a fluff pulp production project
