In March, most of vitamins, particularly VB5, saw decreases in prices. The supplies loosened and thus the prices decreased. For VB5, new capacities have negatively affected the prices. In terms of the demand side, the demand from downstream enterprises reduced as the prices remained high. However, VE was an exception. In early March, its prices increased after producers like Jilin Beisha raised their quotations.

The environmental pressure remained. VOCs are reportedly to be an indicator measuring the pollution of the major pollutants, and compulsory standards will be set up for the VOCs treatment. The MEP is working to formulate a three-year plan to protect the blue skies, and the key task is to tackle the air pollution especially in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and its nearby areas.

VK2 has become popular in China. Guangdong Goodscend has cooperated with other two parties to promote its VK2 products; Sungen Bioscience has established VK2 research center with a Shenyang university. As the VK2 industry further grows in China, domestic consumers will be increasingly familiar with VK2 products and develop recognition of it. Hence, the demand is expected to increase.
