Welcome to the November issue of Amino Acids China E-News.

With regard to the price, the ex-works price of lysine dropped YoY in Nov. due to weak downstream demand and falling prices of soybean meal, a substitute for lysine.

Notable updates on projects:

• The construction commencement ceremony for Beiyuan Group's 120,000 t/a glycine project was held on 27 Oct., and the construction of this project commenced.
• The Environmental Impact (EI) report of Anhui BBCA Biochemical's "technical renovation project of 20,000 t/a L-Alanine and 10,000 t/a sodium gluconate" was publicised on 31 Oct.
• On 4 Nov., the EI report of Hwatson Yide's "project of photoelectric material, protected amino acids for polypeptide drugs, and pharmaceutical intermediates" was publicised. Upon completion of this project, Hwatson Yide will possess 90 t/a of production capacity for protected amino acids.
• On 9 Nov., the results of post-completion environmental protection acceptance inspection on NHU Amino Acid's "industry chain extending project for 250,000 t/a methionine" were publicised. The items that were inspected this time include two hydrogen cyanide synthesis devices and a newly built sodium cyanide production device.

Notable updates on companies:

• Meihua Holdings' operating revenue for Q3 climbed by 25.55% YoY and net profit attributable to equity holders for Q3 jumped by 168.95% YoY.
• Bluestar Adisseo's operating revenue for Q3 climbed by 7.15% YoY and net profit attributable to equity holders declined by 36.85% YoY.
• Sealong Biotech's net profit attributable to equity holders for Q3 rose by 1,041.59% YoY; additionally, the company is planning to apply for listing on BSE.

With regard to import and export, China exported 4,838.6 tonnes of methionine in Sept., which declined by 38.30% YoY and fell by 49.20% MoM; China imported 15,216.3 tonnes of methionine in Sept., which went down by 16.87% MoM and went down by 29.94% YoY.
