In early Oct., the ex-works prices of most China's fungicide TC remained unchanged compared to the prices seen in early Sept., and that of triazole fungicide TC saw a MoM decline. In terms of triazole fungicide TC, the ex-works prices of tebuconazole TC, difenoconazole TC, propiconazol TC and epoxiconazole TC registered a slight decrease in Oct, edging down by less than 3% MoM. In terms of strobilurin fungicide TC, the ex-works prices of azoxystrobin TC witnessed an MoM growth of 6%. The market is left in tight supply of pyraclostrobin TC and with the ex-works price rising to USD42,258.28/t (RMB300,000/t), an MoM growth of roughly 13%.

In terms of comany dynamics, Jingbo Agrochemicals announced that the company's Smart Green Demonstration Base Construction Project has been put in place, adding in new large-scale production lines for 14 pesticide TCs including six fungicide TCs. Inner Mongolia Shijie announced its acquisition of four pesticide registrations of 95% tebuconazole TC, 95% flutriafol TC, 95% propiconazol TC and 430g/L tebuconazole SC, previously owned by Jiangsu Huanghai. Ningxia Rainbow Chemical Co., Ltd. was expected to construct the 9,000 t/a captan project. The 3,000 t/a chlorothalonil TC production lines operated by Jiangsu Xinhe have maintained a high production capacity utilisation rate which is expected to reach over 95% in the year of 2022.

In terms of policy, the Jiangsu Provincial Department issued the Implementation Plan for Carbon Peaking in Jiangsu Province, laying out eight special operations oriented towards the petrochemical industry to realise carbon peaking.

In terms of pests & diseases, China released the 2022–2023 Technical Programme for the Prevention and Control of Major Wheat Pests and Diseases, calling for the focus on the control of wheat head blight and stripe rust.

In terms of registration, ICAMA publicised the list of approved pesticides. A total of 130 non-newly-registered pesticides (10 products partially consented) were listed. Meanwhile, totalling 28 fungicide products contain seven prothioconazole TC.
