Released at the 2011 annual conference of China Organic Fluorine and Silicone Material Industry Association, the 12^th Five-Year-Plan of China Fluoride Chemical Industry sets a five-year plan which aims to realize USD23.6 billion of output value by 2015, to be tripled as compared with that in 2010. To achieve the target, the industry is to adjust its structure, restricting the capacity of inorganic fluorochemicals and HF, encouraging the development of fluoropolymers and HCFCs & ODS substitutes. To guarantee the development of fluorine industry, China's government is expected to implement stricter measures to protect domestic fluorite resources, which will further affect the fluorite export.

In a word, it is worth paying more attention to China's fluorine industry as its development brings both opportunities and challenges.
