• Anhui Jinhe: net profit expected to grow over 40% YoY; the EI report of Anhui Jinhe's 5,000 t/a sucralose technology upgrading project was accepted and publicised; Anhui Jinhe was fined USD71,968 (RMB500,000) for the fire.
• Layn's sales of plant extract products increased in 2022, pushing up the revenue of the company.
• Hunan Nutramax plans to raise USD1.76 million through private placement to increase working capital.

Project updates:

• The construction of Kanbo's 10,000 t/a sucralose energy-saving and efficiency-enhancing technology upgrading project was completed.
• The construction of Shandong Qiantai's 500 t/a erythritol project was completed.
• The construction of Yunnan Hejin's 450,000 t/a liquid sugar project was completed.
• The EI report of Nantong Changhai's 6,000 t/a nutritional enhancer resistant dextrin project was accepted and publicised.
• The EI report of Zhongjingmin's pea flour and maltose project was made public.
• Techno's 2,000 t/a sucralose project was completed.
• Dragon-Phoenix Corn's 20,000 t/a erythritol project was completed.

Price update:

In Jan. 2023, demand for acesulfame-K and sucralose was weak during Spring Festival.

Import & Export analysis:

China's mannitol and xylitol exports registered MoM growth in Nov.
