In June, although large vitamin manufacturers in China successively stopped production for maintenance with an earlier start time than usual and an extended time span, the vitamin market was not thus boosted and price trends of vitamin varieties involved differed.

The Department of Food Safety Standards and Monitoring and Evaluation (DFSSME) of the National Health Commission (NHC) of the People's Republic of China announced that inositol (raw material: potassium phytate) has become a new food fortification variety; according to the China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA), the National Food Safety Standard—Nutritional Fortification Substances—D-Calcium Pantothenate (GB1903.53-2021) has been put into effect.

In 2022, China has launched several new vitamin drinks. With the arrival of the beverage consumption season, vitamin beverage manufacturers are stepping up their promotion and marketing efforts, thus competition in the domestic vitamin drinks market has become more intense.

There are updates on vitamin-related projects: Garden Biochemical's project of vitamin A acetate particle etc.; Zein Dinglian Branch's workshop technical renovation project; Shanxi Fuyu's fine chemicals project; Nantong Juke's 10 t/a vitamin K2 project; Shandong Hongda's technical renovation project for 10,000 t/a nicotinamide production equipment; Heilongjiang Huarui's biomedical project; Nantong QZU's 4,000 t/a compound nutrients project.
