Welcome to CCM International's new issue of Phosphorus Industry China Monthly Report in Dec. 2011.

This November, the phosphorus industry as a whole continues to keep steady but with a little variation in some regions. Entering winter, the demand of phosphate fertilizer, the main downstream product of phosphorus ore, has dropped considerably for its seasonal character of demand and depressed winter storage. Demand of other phosphate chemicals is same with last month basically, and the corresponding sales are flat.

For fine phosphate chemicals, it can see a downturn in market situation in China at present. Apparently, the development of downstream phosphorus products would head for more refined ones, such as toothpaste grade, electronic grade, and medical grade of phosphate chemicals. Actually,  several enterprises, such as Wengfu Group, Hubei Xingfa, begin to research and exploit these products that require more advanced technology.

In general, integration and regulation of phosphorus resource, elimination of high consumption of energy and low-value products, and reorganization of phosphorus enterprises will still be the focal point in the future.
