When it comes to July and Aug., it is time to summarize pesticide industry's half year situation. On 22 July, 2014, the International Trade Committee of CCPIA held a meeting for discussion about domestic pesticide development in 2014. Participants at the meeting concluded that China's pesticide still keeps the developing pace in H1 2014, but at a slower rate compared with that in the two years before 2014. Domestic pesticide enterprises are supposed to adjust development strategy, including reinforcement for pesticide formulation trade globally.
According to CCM's price monitoring system, several major insecticides were confronted with price depression in H1 2014, mainly for four reasons including unfavorable climate, sufficient supply, threat from foreign products, etc. More details about price are disclosed in the issue.
Hubei Sanonda and Jiangsu Changqing, as two pesticide enterprises which issue their semi-annual reports at the first batch, have shown their remarkable performance in the first half year, with double-digit or even three-digit growth by net profit. More reports of the other listed pesticide enterprises would be issued in the late-Aug. 2014, and CCM would follow latest news in time.
Note: 1. All tables and figures in this issue are calculated by the same RMB/USD exchange rate (1USD=6.1615RMB); 2. Nuances in some data are mainly caused by rounding principle.
