China’s environmental policies are getting stricter. Due to this, the prices of technical pesticides kept rising under the tightened supply. Domestic pesticide enterprises are facing high environmental pressure.

Some fungicides saw rapid increases in prices, due to tightened supply of raw materials and intermediates, and the production suspension of major producers. Starting H2 2017, many technical pesticide producers saw low operating rates and even suspended production. Formulations enterprises were also in a difficult situation. On the one hand, the supply of technical pesticides tightened; on the other hand, the prices of formulations failed to increase with technical pesticides.
