As a result of increasing domestic market demand, China's total output of fungicide technical in the first eleven months of 2013 witnessed a remarkable year-on-year growth of 34.59%, reaching 133,588 tonnes. Other favorable news for fungicides was released in the end of 2013, especially for eco-friendly products. In Nov. 2013, the national review meeting of pesticides registered for ginseng was held by the ICAMA in Beijing. Fourteen pesticides, including fludioxonil, cyprodinil, difenoconazole, mancozeb, etc., were approved to be registered for ginseng in the meeting. Besides, it is speculated by domestic media that China’s 2014 No.1 Central Document will focus on ecological agriculture, which will further benefit biological pesticides.
Meanwhile, in order to guide farmers to recognize more reliable eco-friendly pesticides for better farming, the NATESC held a press conference to publish the investigation result of Reliable Eco-friendly Products for Prevention and Control in 2013, which covered 60 pesticide products, including thiediazole copper, azoxystrobin, difenoconazole, etc. The publicity for this investigation result is expected to facilitate these listed eco-friendly pesticides' promotion.
