China's pesticide industry is considered to enjoy a slight recovery in 2012 eyeing the growth of pesticide output, export amount and value, product prices and total industry profit in this period. Aiming to better fulfill the goals set in Pesticide Industry Policy released in Sept. 2010, Chinese government has carried out some important policies to further manage domestic pesticide industry. While facing the pressure from the much more intense government management, more and more small and medium domestic pesticide enterprises were forced to choose M&A or quitting the business.

How domestic pesticide market and industry will act in 2013 still can't be surely predicted. Although the demand of pesticide is predicted to grow in 2013, the increasingly intense competition in domestic pesticide industry will make most of domestic pesticide players bear much larger pressure than they did in 2012. More M&A cases will appear and much better business environment is believed to be formed in domestic pesticide market in 2013 after the release of the new Regulations on the Management of Pesticides.
