Regarding company performance, CSPC published its financial results for the first three quarters of 2022. During the reporting period, although the price of vitamin C declined, CSPC's sales revenue from vitamin C products still increased by 22.28% YoY.

As for the market dynamics, the EI report of the master plan for Qiqihar City (Fuyu) Bio-based New Material Circular Economy Industrial Park (2022–2023) was publicised. As for the polyols produced by bio-fermentation, this industrial park will produce sorbitol in the early stage.

There are project updates: Huakang Pharma's 2 million t/a corn deep-processing project starts construction; Well Pharma plans to sign a Non-Compete Agreement with the related party; Chimin's sorbitol & mannitol rinse solution recently obtained the Drug Registration Certificate.

In terms of production, DSM Jiangshan, one of the leading vitamin C manufacturers in the world, cut the output of its vitamin C production line. 

In the export market, in Oct. 2022, China exported a total of 15,449.67 tonnes of sorbitol to 48 countries and regions, amounting to USD12,739,105.
