Policy:

CFSA solicits public opinion on application of D-allulose-3-epimerase as new enzyme preparation for the food industry.

Market analysis: 

• Layn signs agreement with JU to jointly develop mogrosides biosynthesis technologies.
• CCGB's stevia production line technology upgrading project was completed.
• Sanyuan Biology officially put its 50,000 t/a erythritol production line into operation and its allulose production line produced 2,000 tonnes of allulose in the trial production.
• Huakang Pharma's 2 million t/a corn deep-processing project were advancing steadily. The EI report of Zhoushan Huakang's 1 million t/a corn deep-processing health food ingredients project was publicised.
• NTAC's acesulfame-K has been sold on a small scale.

Project updates:

• Gaomi Tongli's xylose production line technology upgrading project and Shuangqiao's starch-based sugar project (Phase I) completed construction.
• Jinyu Kangyuan's project producing 6,500 t/a of mannitol, 2,500 t/a of sorbitol and 2,500 t/a of lactose was publicised to solicit public opinion.
• Yusweet completed the construction of its 20,000 t/a erythritol project.
• Guangxi Jiaoben's pharmaceutical intermediates project (Phase I) was publicised for public opinion.
• Wuzhoufeng's 1,500 t/a alginate oligosaccharides (AOS) project was completed.
• The EI report of Tianjin Bloomage's pilot-scale testing platform project was publicised for public participation.

Price update: 

In Dec., the ex-works prices of HFCS and crystalline glucose rose.
