In terms of market analysis, on 10 Sept., Beijing released the 2025 list of leading agricultural varieties and recommended technologies for the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei integrated development zone, comprising 103 key crop varieties and 90 priority technologies.

In terms of company and supply, on 30 Aug., SDIC Fengle's revenue fell 13.42 % YoY , while net profit declined 25.44 % YoY in H1 2025; On 28 Aug., 2025, Winall's H1 2025 revenue rose 1.81% YoY, while net profit dropped 85.85% YoY; In H1 2025, Denghai Seed's revenue fell by 9.41% and net profit declined by 33.42% YoY.

In terms of trade analysis, in Aug. 2025, China's import volume of seeds of soybean, corn and vegetables fell by 32.71% MoM to 465.09 tonnes, while the export volume dropped by 12.91% MoM to 200.50 tonnes; In Jan.– Aug., 2025, China imported approximately 88.32 million tonnes of grain, down 20.33% YoY. In Aug. 2025 alone, 13.82 million tonnes of grain were imported, up 0.60% MoM.

In terms of policy, on 17 Sept., 2025, Anhui Province releases Anhui Province Wheat Variety Approval Standards (Revised in 2025); On 12 Sept., Shaanxi Province issued the 2025 Provincial Guidelines for the Variety Layout of Autumn-sown Wheat and Rapeseed.

In terms of variety, Chongqing released its 2025 approved list of major crop cultivars: 19 rice, 21 corn, 3 wheat and 2 soybean varieties on 8 Sept; On 23 Sept., 43 new wheat varieties have passed the preliminary review in Shandong Province.
