China is becoming strong in the production of xylose and xylitol that needs close watch. However Chinese production is subject closely to the international demand. It is a trend that some large manufacturers, like Futian Pharma and Zhejiang Kaihua, are dominating the Chinese production. More small producers will stop production in the future. In respect to consumption, China is weak at the moment however it seems that China is a large reservoir to tap, especially in the field of candy, beverage, and pharmaceutical and polyether polyalcohol.
